11.4 Box office by language market
Theatrical exhibition and audiences
Canadian films’ box office revenue for films presented in English fell to $2.9 million in 2024, and by a further $0.2 million in 2025 to $2.7 million. Canadian films' box office revenue for films presented in French increased to $20.7 million in 2024, but then however this fell to $11.3 million in 2025.
